Coolant and PS fluid change...

Any idea how to flush the coolant system and how to change the power steering fluid. I am going to be doing this this next weekend, along with a brake fluid change and possibly the mugen cooling mods....

Also, where is the best place to get the cooling mods?

THANKS

Coolant is pretty straight forward. Start your car and dial the interior temp to max to open the heater valve first and then shut it down. Drain your radiator and then open the block drain which is on the back of the block between the motor and the rear firewall. Once it's drained, close everything back up and refill. Make sure you bleed the system to get the air out.

As far as the powersteering system, I'm probably going to do that on the 99 TL-P also over the next few weeks. I'm thinking the best way is to disconnect the return hose back to the reservior and drop it into another container. Drain the crap out of the reservior and plug the opening for the return hose. Fill the reservior with new fluid and have someone start it up while I continue to pour fresh fluid into the reservior until I get clean fluid out of the return. I'll let you know how it comes out.

I flushed the coolant this weekend before I added the Mugen mods. Not hard, just drained it all out, ran some water through the system, drained it again, then filled it back up with Prestone 50/50, & some water wetter.
