Coolant Mixture with Water Wetter

Can one of you great balls of CL-S knowledge inform an ignorant soul like myself as to the best implementation of Water Wetter? After some minor searching, I read that someone mentioned adding some distilled water to the coolant mixture. Anyone care to add / elaborate on this? I currently have what Acura put in after my coolant flush -- which I assume is 50/50.
Thanks,
Nutz

Acura/Honda uses a 50/50 premix. You should be able to just add the water wetter plus the 50/50, leaving room for the water wetter of course.

I did 60 water 40 coolant then the water wetter. Water wetter recomends more water then coolant. I did the same to my Explorer.

I saw that WW recommended *at least* 15% coolant on the bottle -- and I'd think that living in Texas would allow me to do close to the same.

Thanks for the info.

Those living in colder climates will need to make sure they are fully protected . . and will need to adjust the ratio accordingly.

after going 50/50 without water wetter, did you notice a lower temp or the fan running less when you switched the mixture?

You are suppose to use the Honda Premix.... no need to dilute with water.

What you were reading was adding distilled water to the INTERCOOLER system...the intercooler system is seperate.. and unless you have a supercharger/turbo you prolly will not have an intercooler installed.

Can't really say since I did the Mugen coloing mods at the same time. After all that I saw a decrease in temp.

Thanks for clearing that up, Smitty.

I picked it up from a distributor called Baker. Here's their link.

So, are you interested in it because of the potential benefits or environmentally friendly . . . or both :P

Hey Darrin, I was at PepBoys this morning, and I searched everywhere for "DishSoap" coolant additive. The employees had never heard of it. Who makes it, and where can I buy some?
