Not a mechanically inclined person. Anyone have any thoughts if this would work? just curious on how it would supposed to...

you pull the lever and it bypass your exhaust system sending it out the other tube that has nothing attached to it.

My friend has one they make for the Fbody cars that is electronic. He can hit a button and open or close it. He also has a choice of how much of it he wants open/closed.
