Comptech Springs installation

I plan to install my springs within the next couple of weeks with the help of a friend who has access to a full service garage. First of all, this guy is doing me a favor and I would like to pay his something for his trouble. So what is the typical install cost for springs. Also are there any tricks to getting them in, any unusal tools required?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I got a really good deal on my install, $150. Most people are paying $200 or more. I would at least give the guy $75 (and maybe a lunch) for his trouble.

MikeN,

Do you have any idea on the actual install time.

The guys that did my car had previously done three other CL-Ses, so they knew what to do. It took them about 1.75 hours.

You will have to remove the back seat. "Fender4" did this himself.

MikeN,

I don't suppose you know how to get the back seats out, do you?

I work with the guy who volunteered to install the springs. He just walked by, according to him - pulling the back seat is easy.

fbazakos,

Just in case, what is the name of the Honda dealership your friend works at? Do you know if he has installed these springs before?

fender4 said they weren't that hard to remove. The guys that did mine said getting them out was easy, getting them back in was a pain. Apparently, there is a maintenance book out that explains the process.
