Comptech Springs and Camber "Help"

I got Comptech springs on my 01 CL-S yesterday. Today I took it in for an alignment and they said the left-rear was -1.5 our of spec. Short story is that I'll need to camber only the left rear.

My question is:

I though Comptech Springs didn't require camber?

Why does only one location (left rear) need the camber?

Do you think the springs were installed incorrectly?

Any additional feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I've never heard of someone installing a camber kit when using the Comptechs.....especially on just one side.

Do you have a lot of weight in the trunk which would be making it lower then normal?

Is your strut blown?

What off-set are your rims?

I've got stock rims and tires on it. The only weight in the trunk is my box which is about 30lbs (centered in trunk).

i got mine aligned as well and they said everything was in spec, except it still drifted slightly to the left....they also said to get a front camber kit, but b/c of all the potholes in my city, f-that...i can live with my slight drift and by the way, the only way you'll need a camber is if the tires are wearing down uneven....just check them from time to time...otherwise, i wouldnt waste your money

i had to get front camber adjusters with my ct springs because of inside tire wear on the fronts. comptech recommended it in my case. no good reason why i need them and no one else does.

All spring setups will differ, mostly due to the varying differences in spring constants and an owner's custom setups (box in the trunk vs. none, etc.)

On my 03 6sp, i had a rear Comptech camber kit installed 2 weeks after the spring (and Koni/Neuspeed Yellow) installation. I have the spring perch set at the 2nd from the top (5 total) yielding a gap at all fours of approx. 1.25" but unfortunately, the rears (after 2 weeks of settling and normal driving) sagged a little. Camber was -1.2 left rear and -1.3 right rear (at the time of installation and first aligment, camber was -0.13 rear left and right, so negative camber was already a problem from the start). Problem solved after camber kit installation and no negative camber has returned ever since!

They said all except the left rear were within spec. The left rear though is -1.5.

I'll probably camber when I get the Koni Yellows.

1.5 degrees of camber in the back is not bad at all .I don;t get excited unless I see numbers over 2.0 .Step up your tire rotation schedule to every 5000 miles and keep an eye on tire pressure and you will be fine .Make certain during the alignment that the toe was set up to factory specs and you will be in good shape .
