Comptech SC owners, would you do it again

After a few months have passed would you still make this purchase again if given the choice? What kind of quater mile times have you experienced? Is it difficult to launch with the added power?

Absolutely... I'd do it again!!! ... especially with the 6MT. As far as quarter mile times, I haven't run yet. But I'm not a big fan of 1/4 mile runs. I'm more into road-racing. But 1st gear can be difficult to launch in. Stickier tires will help some, but it will still be tricky to launch without getting wheel spin.

Without a doubt or hesitation I would do it again. I love being able to leave the traffic behide without ever getting above 4k revs. So that when I do punch it the feeling is great.

The launches can be difficult in 1st but you can deal with it. Or just launch in 2nd as there is enough power to pull you through the revs.

Not ready yet but it will be soon. I should have the new core in a week and it is off to be welded up to the manifold.

Mmmm, intercooler

I'd do the S/C sooner. I bought my car back in summer '00 and I can't believe all the fun I've missed out on over the years.

I love the s/c. Its adds so much to the car. I know the gains are not huge HP wise, but the torque is really felt. The car stays so smooth the only real downside is the cost, but hey you forget about that the first time you romp on it.

Patiently waiting, can't wait to get more low end torque . Can't wait to see the new design Scalbet .

Smitty, are you getting the kit?

Red Rider, I won't have the IC kit before August. Being in LA, I wish I could take a road trip, but I can't get time off from work .

That extra 50 lb/ft will be very noticeable.

I'm pretty sure I'm coming, but I've been reluctant to commit and then back out at the last minute like last year. I'll look at my schedule today and commit either way by tonight. It sounds like a blast this year! Hope I get my HBP by then...where is it Velocity Resources??????

Keep the faith with Dean. He's been helping me out a lot lately. Call, e-mail, or PM him. He's still here for us with lots of info. Hopefully, my SC will be shipping next week.
