The latest info from their site is that it'll be out in late Spring, whatever that means.

The Comptech's Ice Box is very similar to the Weapon-R's Ice Box. Check out www.comptechusa.com

I would get the AEM if I wasn't so worried about the stupid warranty that it is not supposed to void, but my dealer tells me it voids the entire warranty. I know thats not true, but I don't really want to screw around with it. I would rather just play it safe and get the comptech......if it ever comes out.

Comptech "voids" the warranty ( ) to a dealer the same exact way as the AEM, Injen, or Weapon-R Intakes... so what's the difference? Plus, from what I read on here a while ago, the dyno they had on the Icebox was with the supercharger installed, so it made the gains more impressive then they would be if it was installed by itself. I'm pretty sure that was on an Integra.

I'd say, buy the AEM or Injen and save yourself some serious money. If you're dead set on an "icebox" type of setup... get the Weapon-R.....

Your dealer is full of sh%$. If he can prove that the intake caused whatever problem you had, then he can refuse to fix something. That is a law. Intake voids nothing. Maybe if you get pulleys and your alternator goes, then he doesn't have to fix it.

So the CT icebox works like the Wepon R...so there is no chance if hydro-locking the engin??? If so will it still have that UFO sound???

I'm not sure what the sound is on the "icebox" configs, but I think there are a couple of members here who have the Weapon-R, so maybe they'll chime in.

As for the hydrolock.... the chances are very very slim on the AEM or Injen as well.... those chances go almost down to zero with a by-pass valve... so hydrolock shouldn't be a concern...
