Comptech Flywheel/Clutch Install help/question. Car Stalling After braking.

I had in a posting that my transmission was beginning to feel spongy. Had it checked out and turned out that the clutch plate was dying and needed a replacement. I had pieced together the comptech flywheel/clutch from ThinJim and KrisDLM a year back and was getting it installed. I had my mechanic who did the 6-speed swap for me do the clutch and flywheel for me and he ran into some problems.

After everything was correctly installed, and he turned on the engine, once he stepped on the clutch, put it into gear, he was able to drive it, change gears and everything, but once it came to a complete stop, the car would stall, even with his foot all the way down on the clutch. If he starts it up again, puts it into gear, and goes, it would go again. It seems like the pressure plate is not releasing the pressure on the cluch. Does anyone know as to why this might be happening? Could it possibly be a sensor that may be out?

also If you compare the two flywheels side by side, the comptech flywheel is missing 3 rounded out corners that accommodate for the stock pressure plate. Could this possibly be an issue?

Please let me know of any thoughts you might have on this.

There is a sensor on the tranny (which I cant seem to remember its name). Make sure thats connected properly.

You might want to reset the ECU. The motor revs down faster with the flywheel and it may need to compensate for the reduced revs.

I have not had that issue with my CT flywheel.

Would that sensor throw a code if it wasn't connected? He had the car running, and no engine codes were thrown. He said he was sure that all sensors were connected as well.

Allout- The battery was removed in order to do the installation. They pulled the whole engine out in order to make the job easier.

Yeah, reset for the faster rev dropping flywheel
Mine kinda does that from time to time if I have the A/C on, but no flywheel just crank pulley.

The secondary crank sensor should be plugged in and im pretty sure it would throw a light and might even keep you rev limited to 2K.

Hey everyone. Thanks for the responses. My Mechanic ordered a new clutch and pressure plate to do a comparison, and turns out it was the pressure plate. Reinstalled it and car runs like a dream. Can't wait to go pick it up this weekend.

Nice

Don't you love the way it drives? Much easier to control the rev's on shifts.
