I just got an email from one of their retailers/dealers who confirmed it for me. Said they can no longer get parts since they are going out of business.
Boy was a surprised to hear this. I am thinking they should have went for more volume and lower prices. Maybe all they need is a new CEO. Sign me up.

I'm sure some company perhaps out of China will take on that business.....LOL
Now the dealerships will have ammo to "turn down" your vehicles dues to those mods no longer supported.......
Ole timer out......

Surprises me that they would just close the doors on the shop instead of selling it off.
Although I've heard they only have 2-3 employees now. I wonder what happened with management? Where did all the employees go? New company in the works?

i doubt its worth much. as many have already seen, most of, if not all of their products can be replicated now that we see them in person. but i thought they had to shops, one for r&d on aftermarket parts, and a machine/engine shop.
maybe their restructuring into a different company... or 1 or multiple employees went off on their own which happens to so many performance shops around here.

I just got off the phone with Nate at CT. I had a long discussion with him about the closing of CT. I asked him every question I could think of about what I was going to do for service and parts for my supercharger. I bought another 6MT silicon radiator hose for the blower just incase. He told me that indeed they only have 5 employees now and that they should shut the doors by early April. If you call they are still selling parts and there will be no sale since there is a higher demand for the parts now and they are selling at retail. If you don’t get through, keep trying. He might just be on the phone with someone like me. He said most of the finished parts are already out the door. He said that most of what is left in the warehouse will most likely be sold to some other company so we can still get parts and service, nothing will be thrown out once the doors are shut. He does not know who this will be at this time but assured me he would post on every major board exactly what is going to happen with the company, its parts supply, and what we can do for service either good or bad. For those of you with blowers, he said that any major service is performed by http://www.magnusonproducts.com/mp62.htm if you send it to CT and that you can simply send it directly to Magnuson for future service, i.e. the 70000 service. I just got mine back from comptech and it was $105 for the service and $80 total for shipping just so you guys know what it should cost. I can’t wait to put my blower on. The suspense is killing me. Hope this helps, Jim

what number are you dialing and what option are you selecting because I can't get a hold of anyone.
I've spoken to Nate in the past and he's really cool.
I need to order some spare parts as well.

WHEW!!!! I just got through to nate and ordered 2 replacement air filters for my CAI.
The one I have is going on 100K miles and is starting to tear. at least now I'll have 2 more to last the life of the car.

And because of the thick layer of foam, it's even harder for the smaller particles to get through.
I've used a KandN filter on my integra gs-r. It was good, but after trying the foam filter on the CL-S, I like it a lot more.

When did they site low profits?
That was never the reason.

There's a thread on NSXprime regarding this. Apparently there are many supercharged NSX owners who were freaking out over not being able to find parts.
Then some one from Comptech posted that it was true, they were closing, but a few of the employees bought it and will be opening the shop back up.

I guess since they are remaining open it's safe to say...
Long story short:
Comptech had two investors which owned the company. One investor wanted out the other did not. It appears as if a few employees and posibily ex-employees purchased the company and will keep the doors open. Business should be back on track in 3-4 weeks.

Hi Mr Steve...if you read GODFATHER2's statement from 2-26-2007...he stated that Comptech cited low profits...among other things as their reason for closing..heres his message...cut and pasted...hey...im new..apologies...dont shoot me...Im only the messenger...lol...
saw it in the other forums and just knew you cl guys would be obliged to know that comptech is closing shop. they've sited low profits, among other things. you can call them yourselfs and you'll hear the same thing ... however, you won't be able to get through as they have been inundated with calls from dealerships, vendors, and customers. a sad day for honda heads. ....
