sup guys...
anybody ever had a problem with their driver's door courtesy light staying on at all times? towards the tail end of my 5 hour drive back to town last night, I was flipping my interior light on and off to check on my dog, and I noticed that the light in my driver's door was on. It won't turn off! lights on or off, doors unlocked or locked, security on or off, car on or off, the damn light won't turn off! and yes my door was shut...
I had to pull the bulb for fear of battery drainage. Any thoughts on why this is happening? the car's got 68k miles on it but shit like this shouldn't happen even with american made cars!

Odd. I wonder where the switch is that tells the light to turn on and off when you open the door. Maybe it just needs to get changed. Good thinking pulling the bulb. hopefully you are still under warranty.
Nope, not under warranty...68K miles. Have the tranny warranty, but the tranny's been replaced. I'm taking it in next week for service, but I honestly can't figure out what would cause that light to stay on. It's not the door circuit or switch, because the door diagram in the gauge pod is not lit up. everything else operates normally except the circuit for the actual light receives voltage at all times now. very strange...
