Come see the CLS 6 Speed get walked down by the 3.5 6 Speed Maxima
As the subject says, a guy in a 6 speed Maxima in the area called me out this weekend for street combat. He says he will spot me 3 cars and walked me down and catch me before he gets to 3rd gear.

I think you should take him as long as your car has absolutely no problems and you don't miss any shifts. He probably will get close in the beginning 1/2 car behind or ahead but i think your top end power would hold him off until it's over. It will be close though.

i dont understand y he thinks hes so much faster than you. from a head to head race you should still be able to hold him off. maximas are really heavy, so he must have some remarkable mods done to it to say hes gonna give u a headstart and walk u

hahah i raced what appeared to be mostly stock MAxima with dark tint and smoked tails on the highway and was gone... i was all stock except intake res removal.. whats this guy got? 3.5 Maxipads are slow stock.

I had a 98 and 02 Maxima. The 6 speed is fast. Now I have a 03 TL-S and my friend's 06 Maxima beat me last week, stock to stock. I did use the SS and I did shift way to early up to 4 when I could have stayed at 2, and gate shifted.
If your's is 14.1 and has H/I/U, then his needs to be not stock, on paper anyways.

Man this Maxima has bad ass bottem end torque. Wasnt planning on it but but my buddy who has a 3.5 6 Speed Max wanted to drive my car and race him straigt up so I figured since I already knew the maxima is capible of taking straight up I figured that I might as well just let a better driver than me lose so I can at least see what the car car really do. So they raced and the Max easily gets the CL from between 1st and 3rd gear. However my 4th gear and up pulls him back in but never got enough room to finish. Any how after all that he now says he can give me 3 cars and catch me before the 1/4 ends so im assuming thats a longer than catching me before he hits 3rd gear. Anyhow the CL really needs some more torque to get it up to its top end power easier. Im trying to figure now what I can do to get this torque or at least another 10HP, but im not trying to go 3.5 yet.

the only reason they have so much damn torque is cause its a 3.5....plus u only hav half the mods he has...u need to get a full exhaust...that includes the test pipe and u need to get the spacers (that will increase your throttle response) and u need to get a apexi to tune your whip...u get all that cuz thats wat he has ull fry him easily
