well guys when i floor it at 4000 rpm the clutch is slipping the car still accelerates but the tack jumps up and i can fell like its not grabbing like it should.maybe the clutch is shot.

Is this in all gears?? Can you put it in 6th at a stop, let out on the clutch and does it stall??

Regardless, 30k miles may be the expected amount when the power is increased like this.

Sounds like a worn clutch. All the clutches I had in the past did this when it needed a new one.

Hmm.... you must ride the clutch a lot! It shouldn't wear out this quick even with the added power.

I believe Comptech hasn't sold just the clutch disc - although I asked them a while ago- probably around $250. Plus, of course, the $600+ to do the installation.

update clutch is fine i spoke to shad and i was in an hour traffic jam and it got real hot,he said the flywheel got hot and caused a gas inbetween the clutch and flywheelwhich caused it to glaze so i got up this am and went for a run and she is fine thank god false alarm weird huh?shes back rippin again

My clutch has acted like that before. I was going into second and I don't really know what happed but my clutch just kind of stuck half way engaged. Really heated the thing up. It slipped like crazy for the next 5 minutes or so ... I parked it and an hour or so later, it was fine. That was when I first got my car (3 months ago). Hasn't done it since and everything is fine now.

I have the exact same problem on my car.... except it only happens when i spin the tires all the way through first gear and try and grab second gear to make it chirp the tires. After the clutch does what ever happend to it all I can smell is the clutch burning.... I never ride the clutch but I bought the car with 7500 miles on it so I dont know what happened to it before I bought it.. I took it to acura and they said they could not dublicate the problem.
