CLS Vs. CLP

Lately, MANY of my frineds, people on the streets, etc, asked me, WHY NOT GET A TYPE-S? Sometimes I wonder is CLP really THAT BAD? Any of yall CLP owners have this feeling or just me being too sensitive? Well I got a CLP cuz i got it at $25xxx drive out, like $4500-5000 less than CLS, unlike others 2000-2500 diff..... But what would yall think/do? Am i really dumb to get this CLP? Sigh! Thanks!

Not at all I also got the CL-P. But the reason i got it was b/c my dad was the one who purchased the car and i got a speeding ticket for going 90 in a 40 a few months before. So my dad said the type-s would just make me want to speed more. Also for me the insurance was almost half price being that I am only 17. I also love the interior in the CL-P much better. No "dark wood" aka bowling ball trim.

The reason my family picked CL premium instead of type s is its softer suspension and the black dash.

Don't sweat it.....I got used to the constant badgering (*ahem*...Soopa). I'll spare everyone from my soapbox-ing. Just do an archive search and you'll get an eyefull.

I used to own a Kia that my friends kept telling me it was a piece of junk. However, it served me for 6 years without any major problem.

My point is that it doesn't matter what people say about your car as long as you like it.

BTW, I never stop loving my CL-P. ^_^

someone out there is always going to have a faster car than you... get over it and enjoy yours since you are the only one driving it.

Comptech says 17 hp peak and about 8 lbs ft.....I haven't (nor will I) had the car on a dyno. Personally, what was lacking on this motor was 5k-6.25k. The power curve felt very flat at that point. The headers obviously allowed better cross-flow in the higher ranges. The car felt had a greater urgency at those levels. mail me for more details.
