CLS Tranny went nuts
100 degrees driving down freeway at 70, touch the throttle and bam, it downshifts to first and hits the rev limiter. What? Try it again, same thing. All the way to the dealer, it was shifting crazy, all over the place. Anyone heard of anything. BTW, when I pulled into the dealer, the overhead light fixture fell on my car. Dealer will fix.

My TL did this when I first got it.
Shifted crazily on its own.
No problems like that on the CLS for almost a year now though.

Shifted crazily on its own.
No problems like that on the CLS for almost a year now though.

UPDATE: Yep, new tranny, will be here Tuesday, in the mean time, they gave me a VW bug, which wife is driving. I forced buying the CLS, she wanted a bug, now she's stuck with one for a while.
And, yes, it did damn near put me through the window. Boy that rev limiter kicks in hard.

Told me nothing, they were completely baffled and Acura said "no problem" we'll figure it out. I hope it's not a universal time bomb guys!

don't feel so bad, i just got a new tranny for my type s about 3 weeks ago. car's fine now.

This sux.... Ya buy an Acura for reliability and ya get pos tranny bs. I had heard that these trannys were hd before I bought mine. Whats up?
