I guess there must be a bumper sticker on my car somewhere that says "I like to race trucks" on it or some shit like that. I'm cruising down I-20 East and I watch this kid in what looked like an 04-06 Silverado sport edition (or whatever the hell they call it) eat what appeared to be a ricer 4 door Accord (04-05ish model). After he eats the dude's lunch they're all up on my bumper like two idiots.

The kid in the Silverado is all on my rear and the dude in the Accord is trying to pass me by. I gate shifted into third and burned him by 3 car lengths. Eventually he took his exit and disappeared. However, the kid in the Silverado is still eating my rear bumper. The truck was white with black racing stripes and two mini hood scoops (factory looking) so I'm thinking this thing has some punch in it.

I gate shift again and pull away like nobody's business except he matches my move. He keeps up until about 115 and then he fades off - I'm thinking because of aerodynamics and the fact the nut had both windows down. Still, I thought that Silverado would be faster than that.

 

Trucks are always trying to race me around here, especially f-150's, I have a stock muffler, a mostly stock looking car and I don't drive agressive


What mods do you have? I usually don't have to take it past 4k to pull away from them.

 

No mods. Completely stock. I just looked up the truck and the V8 only puts out 285HP.

The added weight and the fact that it was a truck gave the kid no chance.

On the other hand I raced a Harley Davidson edition F-250 and that dude rocked up to 120mph before I walked away from him. They all enjoy running up to within 3 inches of your rear bumper because of the fear factor of the higher riding height. Fuck that. I'm paid up on my premium. If they're willing to foot the bill for a rear-ender be my guest.

 

the govenor on those american trucks is why they stop around 120-110..way to put him in his place tho

That's crazy! What's the point of having a SUPER SPORT truck with 345HP and 380tq and being governored at 109mph???? But with the Harley Davidson Edition F250 the thing puts out 340HP and 425tq (supercharged), which is how that big ass truck kept up with me up until 120.

 

People who ride my tail, I usually go out of my car, knock on their window and they usually crap their pants :-)

 

thats really funny...my friend does that, he's a pretty big guy though...hah and even though its hilarious, its not the smartest idea to get out of your car sometimes

 

i HATE it when trucks try to race me, its so gay, go take that thing off road or something where it should be performing

 

What's fun to do when you have a truck on your tail is to go full throttle while you're shifting lanes on him. If they don't shift lanes at the same time, they'll loose their draft and hit a wall of resistance. It's a whole different race if a truck has to push the same headwind as you.

 

Works everytime.

 

A guy tapped my bumper from tailing too close. I jumped out of my car and ran towards him. He backed up and shot off into oncoming traffic but not before I kicked his tail light in.



The way I deal with trucker suckers that insanely tailgate me on the highway is I hit the VTEC and pull away just enough to get em' pissed, then I slam on my breaks. Sent one dude plowing through a median like one of those farm tractors.

aren't trucks just about torque so they can have large towing capacities?

 

I raced a Trailblazer SS through the holland tunnel lol it was actually pretty fun and sounded awesome since we were in a tunnel lol
