AJ will eventually learn hopefully no matter if he put the brakes on or not he can't keep up with the 6 spd..

you have to know how to shift in order to win when it is cls vs cls manua and bot are stock... the cls manual has to be launched perfectly and get every shift perfectly to truly beat a cls auto... otherwise they will lose or just be tied....

The launch is the trickiest... it is really easy to just sit there and burn rubber with a 6MT. But, if you hook up well, it is no contest against an auto. The rule of thumb is that an auto with headers is bout the same as a stock 6MT.

I can neither take credit or blame for this comparison... it is a common comparison used in other threads. There are significant drivetrain losses in the auto. I used to have an 01 CLS 5AT with I/H/E. I then drove a stock 6MT and I actually thought that the stock 6 speed felt quicker than my modded auto.

Comptech rates their S/C as +34-40HP with the auto and +54-57HP with the 6MT. Same S/C... I was also snooping around on their site and looking at various dyno charts... and at 6K rpm a stock 5AT makes 208HP, while a stock 6MT makes 220HP.

In race conditions the 6 speeds will sometimes not do as well as they should because good launches are very tricky. In the excitement of the moment if you drop the clutch and hit the gas hard, you will break the tires loose and just spin... while the auto leaves you in the dust (with your wheel hop).
