CLP Vs. 330

Well tonight after partying... i was on 59(wide open freeway)... i saw this 330... with 3 people.... we were playing from 40mph.... my car has 3 people as well.... one thing i can tell is... He was like a car behind... and he pulled from behind and a car ahead... so i am wondering, is my car really that slow??? Now stop that "oh you should get a TypeS shit..." please..... just wanna know are they really quick on freeway???? Oh well, I lost... I lost... I lost....
Now I really wonder is it time to start putting stuff on now???

Cuz now i have CAI, pulleys, and plugs.... wat yall think....??? Sigh, oh well....

I drive a stock 01 Type S. My boss has a 02 (?) 330 stick. And gawd damn... it is pretty fast! I think if my boss could shift better (I hope he's not reading this!) he'd kill my CLS any day. Right now, I'm beating him, but I think it's his shifting skills that I'm beating, not the car.

PS: Isn't this the same post in the Racing forum...?

I have a cl-s and a 330xi. The acura is slightly quicker to 60 and arriving there is much more frenetic in the cl as well. Both have their pluses, and I can't wait to find out how good the 330 is in the winter next year. I suspect the added weight of the awd sys is making the bimmer slower than my cl.

Noticeably quicker? okay, all this says is that you FEEL your car is quicker. You know what that means, it means that the 330's suspension, bodywork, and chassis are better than your CLS. haha. It doesn't necessarily mean that your car is quicker just because you FEEL it's quicker.

The Manual 330i and Ci-coupe) Do 6.0 Sec 0-60. Soo it is faster (slightly) than the 5spd Autos. I have seen the 6spd from 6.3-5.9 secs, so I'd bet that the BMW is just has the little edge..

Lets not forget that the CL-S does 5-60mph (last C&D issue-I know...mag-racer) times faster than the 330ci...which means it all comes down to traction off the line (ie tires suck on the CL). BTW, please explain to me how the poor CL suspension, (bodywork???), and chassis can create the "illusion" of less backward G's under straight-line acceleration...are you saying the 330 defies mother nature? Is that where the extra $7000+ goes? I'm not knockin' the 330ci, I love the car...just make sense if you're gonna troll.

u are not sure if that 330 is a manual or auto...it has 225HP..it will be pretty quick if it is a manual 330.... and i think a manual 330 can beat a auto cls..(base on all stock models,no mod at all) ..i have to admit that..
