Cleaned intake & T/B DYNO

Sat went to track with new tires but didnt run good 14.39 @ 97.12 dyno car tues. HP 224 & Torque was 187 car was laying for four months with out being run ,cleaned intake & T/B changed plugs redyno HP 235.5 & Torque 195.9 hope to get back to track sat or sun. between rain.

can canging the plugs make that big of a difference

i think it was the combination of cleaning the intake/TB and changing plugs.

a dirty air filter can be very HP consuming.

My intake and T/B were gummed up from sitting so long.Will see when i get to the track sat. or sun will keep you posted.

usually they recommend cleaning the filter every oil change for best performance, but you can get away with doing it every other oil change if you wanted to. but one whole year!??! damn, i hope you don't drive too much.

haha...yea, my job is less than 10 mins away and school is another 5 mins so I don't do much driving. The rest oft he time I use my wife's car. YEa, I prob should've cleaned it when I was taking off my headers. I'm lazy

I Would be glad to just run 14.1@99MPH.
I think you will see 13.9 before me, do you still have the new ECU?

havent cleaned mine in more than a year, its an aem intake filter, it should be cleaned at 25,000 miles according to aem.

the service period for K&N filters is a lot different than comptech's foam filter.

I didnt make my self clear enough, I not only cleaned the aif filter but took intake off and T/B
Intake also includes vavle covers I had a oil built up ,This take about two hours to do.

most auto parts stores sell k&n filter cleaning kit it only like 15 bucks. you take it off the intake hose it down really good with the filter cleaner on it and then you let it dry and spray the filter oil on it.
