CL > WRX

i'm tired so this will be brief and to the point.... I raced my friends stock wrx yesterday, with my stock cl6spd. did about 6 runs, 2 from a dig and the rest rolling about 20mph... won all 6 and even got a great launch at a dig and never went behind him even with his awd. first official kill for me ... I'm hooked!

I really didn't think our car could do that to a wrx!!! Now I won't hesitate to let them have it on the road! Nice

Nice kill...surprised he didn't at least get the jump on you from a stop. He probably didn't dump the clutch, just took it easy. Nice kill again.

Good races!
Yea basic wrx's aren't that fast. When they start upgrading the turbo and etc. thats when they become mean. STI's stock vs ClS stock..STI will walk all over us.

I have a friend that has one too and I kill him from a dig (SUPRISINGLIY) up until i get to 4th gear then he starts gaining on me but by that time we are slowing down anyway!

I will say this though I rcae anothers guys WRX the other day and he totally rapped me from a dig! I thinks its the driver to tell you the truth!!!

But nice kill none the less!!

Properly driven a stock WRX with the 2.0 Turbo runs about a 14.4 at best around 95MPH. A CL-S 6spd would have the top end advantage by far but if the WRX dumps the clutch it should put about a cars length on a CL-S while the CL-S would be playing catch-up.

wow what a coincidence.... my friend and i were driving and i told him about the wrx from the other day, then we get stopped at a light at an on ramp to the highway, and of course a yellow wrx pulls up next to me so i rev it to giv him the heads up... light turns green, he gets me on the jump GOOD, but by the time im shifting to third im half a car up on him and pulling away with ease... next thing i know i'm 110 mph bout to be on I-35 and he's still back there trying to catch me, lol it was priceless.

True that. My boy has a wrx with exhaust only. He gets me off of the line evry time! Course he is dropping at 5-7000 rpms too...If I wasn't so worried about pigs, it would be a good race. In 2nd I catch him...but it's not quite enough, prob cause he has the exhaust done, gives him an extra couple of ponys

my .02 cents
