CL type sh'it
You guys always praise on how you CLs drive in a straight line, and bash on cars that arent capable of matching those 0-60 times. But you forget one important thing. CL-S is DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMNNNNNN ugly. Flame all you want, but its known that the exterior of the IS300 kicks the crap out of your CL's. Also the handling sucks major ass. And all that crap about the IS being a corolla... please. As if the CL wasnt based on an accord. Its also a big ass boat of a car. Over a FOOT longer than the 3 series and IS300. Sporty? I think not. Boaty?... maybe. Bang for your buck? nah. I cant wait till i meet one of you CL-s owners on the street. I can kill you with my GS400 right now, or kill you with my supercharged IS300 later(gimme a few months).

And I can kill your GS400 with my 540i right now! Ok, so you have a supercharged IS300...anyone can mod something and make it faster. Yet you have a good point about CLS owners bashing the IS300, personally I think the IS300 is a well made car as I've driven one. As far as interior, I totally disagree with you. Yes, Lexus makes great vehicles, yes the IS300 handles great, but I think you took most or all of what people posted too serious. I don't own a CL-S but I do own a TL and a 540i. Not tryin to stick up for the CL boys but...loosen up dude or get a life!

I just posted out of anger because a lot of the posts i see on this board and the racing board put down the IS very harshly. I just wanna let the CL-S owners know that their cars arent the GOD of all luxury sports cars. In fact, I love the TL, and consider it to be one of the best cars right now. However, I sense that the TL owners have a lot more respect for other cars than these punk ass CL owners who think their cars are the shit. I just wanna let these numbnuts know that their cars are beatable, especially by the very tunable IS which they love bashing so much. Later.

Oh and by the way, my GS4 has an intake, exhaust, ecu upgrade, and a few other mods, and is curently running about 335 HP. If your 540 is stock, I should be able to beat that. No offense though, the 540 is a sweet ride. Just not my cup of tea.

Lexis, I understand as some of these guys were "beating" up on the TL in the past but you have to realize that we are all opinionated by nature, some more than others. I am just as guilty of bashing the IS300 until I went and drove one, then it changed my total outlook on the car (though I still don't like the interior ). I agree that a modded IS300 is very fast but you also have to realize that comment will only set you up for "the CL-S can be modded too". Fact is, you bought the IS cuz your pesonal reasons and these guys bought CL's for their own reason. Not to stick up for the CL guys but a $300 mod will make the CL handle much better than stock. The IS300 is like $35K equally equiped to the CLS which is only $30K so immagine if they spent $5K to make the price even on mods. Just a thought. Again, don't take too much of this seriously as most of these guys have mcuh respect for Lexus in general, ok.

I agree with you that there has been too much bashing on IS300's. But the knife cuts both ways. When I first started looking at both these cars I first went to the IS300 message board. Over there I noticed many board members bashing the cl-type-s. At this time I hadn't test drove either one. This got my interest up. I then decided to test drive both vehicles. I liked the IS300 but I wasnt too fond of the tailights, too many civics with them. I also didn't like the interior and the size. I'm about six feet tall and I felt like I was in a disneyland autopia car. The car did handle well but there wasn't as much power as I had hoped for. I then test drove the cl, it had a lot more power off the lot than the lexus and felt a lot more luxurious. It didn't handle as well as the is300 but I expected that. I ended up going for the cl because it was definitely more suited too my tastes. Much more refined and less racer boy than the IS300. I think they are both great cars and they really aren't in the same class. I wouldn't lump all cl owners as is300 haters. Just as I wouldn't classify an IS300 owner as a cl hater. As far as the exterior styling goes, its all a matter of preference. Some people hate the look of the IS300 while others love it, same thing with the cls. As far as your IS300 killing me in a couple of months, come back in a couple of months, then we'll talk. Until then enjoy the board.

LEXis, I can understand how the IS300 bashing is upsetting to you. It is always unsettling when you read a negative comment about the car in your possession. It places you in a position that questions your decision-making skills on whether or not you bought the right car. And, you feel defensive because it is a direct assault on your personal self. In my opinion, the bashing is a result of insecurity and immaturity. That is why I usually do not involve myself in it. Now, I'm not accusing anybody of anything on this board, just making my personal opinions known. After all, everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Now, if you want to continue bashing the CL-S/CL-P, that is your personal decision to do so...just expect people to bash the IS300 in retaliation.
As for your challenge, why don't you reveal your location? That way, somebody on this forum would be in a geographical situation that would allow them to take you up on your challenge.

I too agree that there is too much bashing on the IS3. I love the IS. I was seriously looking into getting one. Performance wise they are great handlers, but their engines are pretty weak. If I had a choice between a CL-S and an IS300 it would be a VERY tough choice but I would prob. take the IS3 due to it's styling rather than performance. Being that I'm only 16 I feel that the IS would suit me well. For now though I am very content with my TL.

Ha! Is300.net is down. I hope your car is more reliable than your site. Look out everyone, we might get a bunch of is3c refugees in here until their little respite is back up.

I bet you'd find a lot less IS bashing on the IS sites...maybe try posting over there.

What a fag... You catually came here to post that your Corolla, I mean IS, is better than a Type S. Ok, I am fine with that. But then you actually stooped so low that you went and put another car in it's place! You are talking all of this trash about how much better your car is, and then you go and say that you can beat our cars with you GS400! That isn't exactly an IS 300 is it? Ok fine you go and do all your mods. But truth is, if you do all of the same mods to both of our cars, which one would be faster? Um, gee I don't know, maybe the S? If our car is faster from the start, and you do all the same mods to both of our cars, isn't it obvious? It doesn't take a road scholar to figure it out
