CL-S vs. TSX

My CL-S is in for service (Tranny) so I was given a TSX loaner in the meantime. Just wondering what you guys out there prefer. Both cars have +'s and -'s, CL-S has more power, TSX has four doors, obviously is newer, etc. Personally I think I still prefer the CL-S over the TSX. What do you guys think?

i too had a TSX loaner. It seemed quicker because it's lighter but I prefer my CLS. It's older but still better to me.

The only thing I liked about the TSX were the gauges. The TSX feels like it has half the power of my CLS.

Well, having both, I hate to say I prefer my TSX over the CL. The seats are better, the ride and handling is better, the gauges and overall layout are better, the headlights are better. The sunroof actually goes all the way back and doesn't flutter like the CL does at certain low speeds. The CL does have the power (and sound) advantage over the TSX, but I will give up a little for a car that can acutally take a corner and not feel like a boat. Bolt ons will be plenty for the TSX, so I think the power difference can be made up for.

i have driven the tsx and it def. lacks in power compared to my cl-s. however, i do love the cars looks and the fact that it has 4 doors. i like the interior a lot and the overall styling. as it has been stated in other threads- - - if the tsx was forced induction/all wheel drive, i'd be all over it!!!! but in reality, it just doesnt have enough power for me.

It really boils down to if you want the V6 power or you can settle with the I4 power. Although (i think) the TSX pushes out 200 HP it is all on the high end. I've driven both. IMO I prefer the grunt of the TL vs the TSX. Everytime I get into a I4 it just does't feel right. Then again I've never driven blown I4... I'm guessing that would be the exception.

I had a tsx loaner 1 day last summer, its a good car, interior is good, seats felt
too upright to me and of course the power.

The TSX makes a really good daily driver, but i prefer my CLS.

The TSX is a repackaged European Accord. The CL was not a repackaged anything. It is an ACURA through and through. I do not think the CL existed outside the U.S. My .

The TSX is a nice car.
My dealer provides them as loaners when I’m in for service.
The interior is much nicer then the CL, I’ll give it that.
But it’s got a 4-popper under the hood and two doors in the back that I don’t want or need.

Not interested.

CL-S vs TSX

I had a TSX loaner car yesterday, my CL-S was getting motor oil change and fix tranny leak. The only thing I like about the TSX is the dash layout and how quiet the interior was when the sunroof open. I had to look up to see it open because it was that damn quiet operating and driving at almost any speed. Other than that I love my CL-S. I have spring/shocks/sways on the CL and it handles better, rides smoother than the TSX. Guess the weight of the CL-S make the car feel better. My opinion, Don

I'm sorry to say, but I drove a TSX loaner about two weeks ago and I was SOOOO freaking disappointed in that car. I honestly thought it wasn't worth the money u r paying for. It's RSX type-S with automatic transmission and two more doors added to it. Of course its interior is going to be better than CLS. Acura's not stupid. They are only looking to improve it not downgrade it. I honestly don't think you can compare TSX vs CL. It's like comparing apple to orange. For ppl who wants to spend high 20K's on 4 cylinders go right ahead. But I have to be straight retarded to purchase TSX over a used CLS. my two cents

Not even an argument...

Yes, the TSX is newer and the dash looks more like the dash in the new Accords rather than the previous gen. but in handling I will bet the farm on a CLS anyday.

I had one a few weeks ago while doing the tranny job and had the chance to try it out in wet conditions. Yes, same tires but handling wise the CLS blows it out of the water. I couldn't even take a turn fast before losing the rear end of the car...and of course the engine not liking the fact that I'm pushing it while turning.

I did love however, how you can control first and second gears with the sport shift...I wish I could do that in my CLS. Damn computer controlled gears....anyone know of a fix for that?

TSX =

Even @ Invoice (if you can get it at that) running around $24,6xx without the navi it's a waste of money.

FWD 4 cylinder torqueless 4 door trying to be a 3-series.

If the car were priced about $3K lower it'd be more fitting.

Now, different choices for different people. TSX is not sh!t, but it is certainly not at its fullest potential either. It is still a damn nice car!
