CL-S vs. Suzuki Katana
So my boss and I are heading back to work from lunch and we spot one of our co-workers getting onto his Katana in a parking lot. By the time we get onto one of the main roads back to work I see him in my rear view a car behind me and I know he's going to attempt to pull up next to me and take off since he's kind of a show off kinda dude. We turn and about 100 yards later he pulls up next to me doing around 40 mph as expected. Without hesitation I tell my boss hold on I'm going to nail it, so I do as he's already chuckling. I start pulling on the Katana instantly. He reacts and downshifts but it was too late, I was already a bike or two lengths on him
and by the time he started gaining on me I backed off WOT because there was traffic ahead. My boss and I were
our asses off it was so funny. This dude thinks his bike is a freegn GSX-R 750 or something when really it's just a 600cc Katana. Anyway, I figured he was heated because he's very sensitive about his bike (wears his motorcycle jacket all day long sometimes) and when we got back he was like how about that turn. I was like huh? He was talking about the turn onto the next road after I took him and how he came so close to touching his knee to the pavement.
I just said you just got owned, I didn't care about the next light, I already took ya. He was all embarrassed and kept saying that he didn't even downshift but I saw him downshift (though he probably didn't go down enough gears) but I figured I'd leave him alone since he was already embarrassed once today. Anyway, I know if it was from a stop or if he had downshifted into the correct gear he would've completely killed me like most bikes would, but still, it was nice to teach him a little lesson that he's not as cool as he thinks he is on his beginner bike.

It's not my boss that has the bike, it's a co-worker, my boss was in my car with me. My boss is a really cool guy and loves hearing about my street encounters. Unfortunately the Katana is not purple, it's all black. It's not a bad looking bike, but it's far from the crotch rocket he thinks it is.
Nice one.
Reminds me of when I beat my friend who had a CBR 600 F4i. Him and his fat girlfriend were on the bike and were were getting on the freeway, he dropped to second gear and I nailed it, and passed by him. He wasn't happy.
