CL-S vs Audi TT

Guys,

Anyone known who the winner is in straight line? I dont know much about the TT, too lazy to research. Any ideas? One of my friends just bought a TT.

Obviously the TT would win in a curcuit, but I need to know in a drag.

The Audi will win.

The 225hp engine (207 torque) has a 0-60 in 6.3 seconds. The car weighs just over 2900.

My friend has one - but we haven't raced yet. (I have the Type S).

Out of all the cars, 3 of my friends have 225Q's....1 Denim Blue coupe, 1 Aviator Gray coupe, 1 Silver Convt.

Never raced any of them, driven them all- they are real quick....I think they will pull on the CL-S, do a chip/intake/exhaust on that car...and you will be in Boxster S territory.

The coupes lease out really well.

Hmm, those times sound like the 180hp TT...definitely not accurate for the 225.

Don't trust those MSN numbers.

My buddy at work just bought one and as soon as he learns to launch it we'll race. If I was stock I think it would be a good race. I think I can take him w/my h/i setup. Don't know how much torque/hp at the wheels but those cars weigh as much as ours do.

At sea level yesterday via my GTech I pulled
14.5 1/4m.on stock motor! Am designing my own
custom CAI that hopefully perform better than AEM!

Btw, although I don't care of the exterior styling the interior of that car is WAYYY cool!! I was really impressed by the layout of the car (don't even try using the back seat though) and the technology. The polished metal cup holders, metal pedals, metal every where was really cool!

I'm sure the times are in reference to the 225Q....I'm just giving them the benefit of the doubt that possibly the information got messed up (between the 180 and 225), it happens....but MSN carpoint is rather bad.

Actually my original posting was wrong - I have no idea where I got 2900 from. Audi's website says 3270 - so about 200 less than the P and 250 less than the Type-S.

Every little bit helps.

It all depends on the driver. Stock vs. stock, same driver, the TT should edge out 1 to 1 1/2 car lengths.

My friend has an Audi TT AWD Quattro, and that thing is QUICK. Well, at least when he's driving. His 0-60 was more likely in the 5-second range than 6. When I raced him (I was stock at the time), he launched at 3k, smoked me so bad from the start (at least 4 car lengths). By the time I hit VTEC, I was gaining on him (I was right on his tail), but he was too far ahead from the beginning. Oh yeah, he left four tire marks And his clutch & turbo smelled worse than deployed airbags. So, in the 1/4, you should lose by about a car length at most, thanks to VTEC
