i was directly behind him at a light ...seemed like a manual because of the hard 2 shift....as he shifted we cleared the rest of the traffic.i swung out beside him and just walked away

The 330 Ci manual will take us. As for the auto, it would be close. The 323 Ci, you would have no problem beating, same with the 328 Ci auto. I raced a 323Ci and 328Ci autos, and I had no problems beating them. But when it comes to the 330Ci, it hesistate.

Go to your nearest drag strip, line up with 330ci and 1,2,3 and go ... 15 sec later and you know the answer

I've dusted a couple of four doors (330 iS) in SS mode, pretty sure both were auto's, but I know BMW also offers tiptronic shift. I'm jonesin to get next to a Ci on a good quarter stretch to see how they stack up...

Raced my friend in his 330i stick.
He had 2 people and I had 3. We both hit it at the green light
and started to peel out. But we both forgot to turn off traction
control... after I regained traction I kicked his ass.
Our VSA kicks bmw TCS butt! :P

I beat a 330ci auto at the track for in 15.3 run (so his was worse). Maybe he was a bad driver

If u r stock. I say u can beat 330ci auto. If he uses tiptronic, then it might be close. If he has stick, then ur dead. I drive my gf's 330ci auto all the time, its pretty quick.
