This is funny. I'm cruising down the street when I hear a loud fart can blasting away about 4 cars up ahead. I'm speeding up so I can merge and get into the far left lane to make my turn. As all the traffic stops at the red light I notice the fart can-clad little car. It was a completely modded out Ford Focus--all primered up with the little fender flairs and trick tail lights and nearly every other accessory Pep Boys has avaible.

He takes off fart can ablazin' as he spins his wheels in second gear. We both come to the next traffic light but it turns red before we could beat it. I stop right on the line but he stops short of the line--his front bumper lined up with my door. Some kind of Def Leopard, AC/DC-sounding music is blaring out of his little crotch rocket and he's farting away--revving up his engine. As the left turn light for the traffic that had the right of way started turning from green to red he slowly creeped his car up to the line like he was Don Garlits easing up the Christmas tree at an NHRA drag strip just before it turned green.

I can't believe this guy is actually going to try to race me. The light turns green and he squirts off. My front end loses traction going across the line, so I'm sitting there for about 3 seconds spinning while he's giving the little twirp car all he can. Soon as my front end gets traction I catch up to him in the blink of an eye and blow past him just as I'm shifting into 2nd gear.

His feelings was so crushed as we came to the next red light he creeped all the way over to the far outside lane and sat behind four cars. The lane on my right was empty but I guess he wanted to cry in peace without me watching.

Yep, I had some smart ass in a yellow SVT hatch I took some PC classes with talk smack about my car. He was like I have a race car suspension. I'll dust you. Once we raced he didn't say another thing to me for the 3 weeks we had left in the class. And that was my 02 stock auto.

 

There is someone that lives near me with a riced out focus with fart cans. He has he stupid sound system stickers all over it, blew past me the other day. I just laughed.

 

out of curiosity what do you guys consider a fart can? I have full exhuast with custom piping and what not and its really raspy with my current muffler which isn't really that large. Its pretty damn loud though, im getting an apexi N1 soon and its gonna be even louder, would you consider that a fart can?

haha it's just a phase, don't trip. my old accord used to be a rice rocket. i've moved on tho. got tired of being on the phone and not being able to hear shit haha now if that happens it's only because of the loud ass blower in the engine bay and it aint that loud or obnoxious at all.

some people race just for the hell of it. who cares...let them get caught. I try not to race anyone like that, cause usually its the kids with the riced out beaters that rev their engine at a light. not worth my gas.
