01-03 automatics all subject to recall failure, no major improvements/changes that I know of between the years, but certainly others here may know better than I. Anyone who owns these years should have a rainy day fund handy for when/if the tranny eventually fails.

03 - only year they made a 6 speed, almost bullet proof history on this engine. many have swapped out the auto for the 6 speed, but not cheap.

for the autos, others have swapped in MDX, Odyssey and TL (06/07) automatics to replace the faulty 01-03 automatic. some are easier and cheaper to do than a 6 sp swap.

The Transmission Q&A sub forum is your best bet to search and browse history, options and advice on this subject: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-cl-transmission-recall-q-55/

The failures still occur all the up to the 07 3.2 tl tho they are way less common per se. My mechanic said this to me who only does acura so I can assure you this is the truth.
