CL-S Driver's Seat.....

Quality: After just 6 month of use, the CL-S Driver's seat, mainly, the flat part that touches your ass got soft and waving a bit. In addition, I noticed few wrinkles near the stisches... The passenger seat as it is lightly use is firm and I it was the day 1 I drove it!

Anyone has the same?

Yes, I noticed it this AM. I'm scheduled to have my leather replaced because of the fuzzies on the driver's seat under warranty. I would ask that they replace the seat beacuse of the premature wear. It doesn't hurt to ask. My dealer (Honda of Memphis) is great so far-- Also replacing my seatbelt assembley because it doesn't retract smoothly or consistently If the seat is wearing this quickly it is not wear and tear on any of these issues. 5000 miles on my Types S.

Yeah I posted a comment about this a little while ago. I am having the same problems. I took it in to my dealer and I am going to get it fixed. I will have to wait until there is a time where I won't need my car for a couple of days.

Pound. For warranty work, doesn't your Acura dealership supply you with a car?

They will give you a loaner for warranty work but make sure you tell them you want one before you show up. The seatbelt assembley will be installed in about a month.

Maybe your issue is worse than you make it sound but this sounds normal for leather. It's not going to look the same as the passenger seat because of all the use. Leather will get soft and have stretch lines after it is broken in. This is perfectly normal. Do you expect it to look like new after 6 months of use? Again, maybe I'm not fully understanding the severity of your problem.

They didn't mention anything about getting a loaner car. I will have to ask them about that. When they took a look at the seat they figured out that it wasn't really the leather but it is the cushion underneath. It is "bubbling" up. It should not be a normal thing and I will definitely get it fixed..........its just a matter of when.

whoa "he's getting is leather replaced"!
if it's the leather they're replacing and not the seat, i'd be weary. sounds to me like normal wear. yeah, the seats get a bit wrinkly, but last i checked leather doesn't always stay that firm, esp. with an a$$ on it all day long! cool thing about getting the retractable belt tuned. i think most of us need that but are too lazy to go into the dealer for it. anyway.... the "hairs" are normal. i think my dealer would laugh at me if i told them to replace it. happens to everyone buddy. just vacuum them off. they come off with time after your seats wear in anyway.

Yuppie CL, I think Acura can take of their own warranty problems. The leather is defective if it has hairs on them. They could have shaved them, but a good dealer does what he's supposed to-- make it right--also, I don't think a car with less than 5000 miles on it should have a driver's seat become less comfortable after 6 months. That's a defect-- Some car seats last years before they lose there support-If my dealer laughed at me, he would not hear the end of it. We are the customers, act like it.
