CL-S: Does it have a trip computer??

I'm looking at getting a CL-S, and didn't see
any mention of a trip computer on Acura's
web site. Is it part of the NAV?

When I say "trip computer" I mean MPG, Range,
ETA, etc...

Most all competitors do have something like
that (BMW, Audi).

Just curious.

dunno about the navi versions, but non-navi cls don't include any sort of trip computer.

hopefully that wouldn't be the deciding factor in your car buying decision...

NAV will give your evidently directions, in addtion miles and minutes left to reach the destination. The Silly thing is that it does not computed the "estimated time of arrival"

------------------
Black, Eboney, 3.2 CL Type-S.
- Acura NAV.
- 3M clear bra (full front bumper, and side mirros)
- Wheels locks.
- Mooonroof visor
- Splash guards,
- Winter mats,
- Trunk liner,
- Acura Spoiler.
- Valentine V1 Radar Locator.
- PIAA 19169 road lamps.

Sure it does. Take a good look at your screen and you'll see it. It may not give you a "time of day" ETA, but its easy enough to figure it out using the "minutes to arrival" readout.

If I remember correctly, it states "miles left" to destinaltion, "Hrs:Min left" to destination. But I cant remember that I have ever seen ETA, i.e. Current time + "Hrs:Min left".

I could be wrong if you have a different NAV version than mine. Mine is still factory version 1.03

In addition to yoir average MPG per trip, per last reset, I would love to see galons left in the tank, estimated miles left before empty tank (I saw that on M300)

Perhaps they didn't have time to complete the integration into the CL in time for a March 2000 launch. Perhaps it would have cost $1000 extra ($3000 total) to install all the extra equipment needed to make the Navi do all this. Would you be willing to spend the extra $$$?

The CL Navi doesn't have these trip computer functions and the last time I remember having these features was in my brother's '84 Chrylser Laser. He used it for about a month, then never again. Unlike the Navi which I use everyday, I'm thinking that (besides the gallons left), the rest of that trip stuff is minimal at best. We already have 40% of the owners thinking the Navi is not so valuable....
