I talked to someone that works at honda in marysville, very creditable, no more CL. He couldnt remember exactly, but he said that the TSX would happen and a 2 door version would replace the CL, CSX he thinks, might be codenamed. Doesnt know if its 2004 or 2005, but one.

damn, The CSX or whatever is gonna have the same problem the CL has, no identity. They need to jump off the bandwagon and go back to names for their cars, like the integra had. That thing better have all wheel drive with an X in the name.

Acura has to come up with real luxo sport Coupe like the G35 (and better be like CL seat 4... something like Mazda RX-8 which I like.. Base version 250-280 HP and FI version up to 380 HP!) but heck with the coupe give me sport Sedan like the M5!!!even the new S4 does not hurt!!

I need a Sport Machine... is M5 a bad thing... , guess not.. so is the new S4 sedan...

i wish they'd introduce something like the CL but put a S2000 motor in it(I know it's for only rear wheel drive cars) but there's a boatload of mods for the S2000 motor.( turbo setups that would rival a Supra Twin turbo)

 

I'm not saying the CL is DEAD, but there are several indicators that the existing CL doesn't have a future, UNLEss, Acura is redesigning the TL and the CL. HONDA is the problem, as they CONTROL marketing of the new products for ACURA and HONDA. They canned the Legend Coupe didn't they ? They canned the Vigor didn't they ? History with HONDA is they don't meet the JAPANESE EXECUTIVE objectives..................CAN IT ! With the US economy continuing to spiral to a DEPRESSION, these car manufacturing companys are in for a big surplus of inventory ! Keep in mind, HONDA/ACURA are probably the MOST conservative of them all ! ENJOY YOUR CL and CLS !

with a 30k accord coup with all the features of the cls, where can the cls go. I'm seeing a hell of alot more cl/cls on the road since the 6mt. It has to be pretty cheap to produce the cl considering it uses almost all the parts of a tl, so who knows. Bottom line is that no one knows and there are only rumors.

Personaly it would be nice for the new acura whatever the name is to have a 50:50 weight ratio, rwd, an option with 300+ hp, maybe some awd but it wouldnt matter.
