N97 Pissing me off--help?
I got some issues with my N97 that I cannot for the life of me figure out.
I've been to two nokia forums and not a singlre reply on my issue....
Hopefully someone here can help me out [even if it's a little!]
The main issue is that my SMS continues to display the wrong time. During the first month of using the N97... all was fine. I then updated to V1.2... From there things went downhill. At least, slightly.
The SMS now displays received messages as five (5) hours behind!
So if I received a text at 10h00... it'll show up as 05h00. Horrible!
So I've tried to do a little research... and quite frankly there were no help on any other forums.
One forum suggested a hard reset---which I did.
That only provided me with more issues.
Due to the fact that I purchased the phone at the Taiwan Airport... the phone is in Chinese. It took me a while to remember where all the settings and what not were. (I'm not Chinese).
After getting the device back in english I have come to realize that my Facebook and Accuweather widgets are no longer existing. In fact... they aren't even on the phone anymore.
I assume that is due to the fact that V2 was installed on the phone last week. (Which is weird, as prior the hard reset... Accuweather and Facebook worked perfectly fine-----minus the fact that I could not access Accuweather's Hourly display).
So... does anyone have any sort of information/help that I may use to get this device working normally?
I mean... other than that, I have no issues with the device.
I read that I can change the product code and such on the N97 by a method called 'debranding'? If I were to change it to a NAM product code, would that help eliminate my SMS problem?
p.s: I'm from Canada in Eastern Standard Time if that helps.
- I've tried hard resetting the phone via the button method, hard reset via *#7079# (or something), I've tried formatting the mass storage and my memory card... and I still have this issue.
note that this only happens for received texts.

The phone is unlocked. Service provider has nothing to do with the issue.
Essentially I fixed the problem after going through a bunch of work I did not need to do...
Now my time zone is set to London-UK, GMT -0.
Got AccuWeather back... But Facebook, from time to time, is giving me an 'internal error'
