chicago track outing...sad news

I just got back! Sad to stay that I drove over to the track, but as soon as we got there it started to rain! Talk about bad luck! So now I'm now chillin here at my friends in downtown chicago.... Spiro and M3sins stayed, how did it go guys? You called me back and the rain stopped right? But, was the pavement dry enough to drag? Let's see some quarter mile numbers! Anyways, you guys know I'll be there next time...and hopefully the weather will be better!

g

I forgot to mention that that there were some crazy muscle cars there!

I just got back. VERY dissapointed with my times. I have been getting pretty much same times no matter what mods I have. Here are my times:

OK I cant find my time slips.

My best time was a 14.9 @ 83.8mph w/ 60ft 2.29. Here is one of the slips I have. tomorrow I will post the other 2.

r/t ... 1.085
60 ... 2.359
330 ... 6.501
1/8 ... 9.787
mph ... 75.33
1000 ... 12.623
1.4 ... 15.014
mph ... 94.40

The weather was 78deg. It was raining prior to racing, so Im sure the humudity was high. I still think i got crappy times though.

That is disappointing! But again, the conditions may have not been the best...humidity, wet pavement, etc... Anyways, your numbers will be different on a better day, especially with your mods. Now I'm glad I didnt run my car, I wouldnt have been able to take the disappointment, and most likely done something in vengence with those 9 second muscle cars

Ken- how did you do?

Are those your times for your M3?

If so, I'm right on you and without the 3/4 tank of gas and perhaps if this wasn't my first time atthe track I might have been even with you or beaten you:

14.7156@94.3616
Reaction time: 0.7672
60ft: 2.2594
330ft: 6.2944
1/8mile:9.5560

My other best time was 14.7355@93.8557
My best trap speed was 95.3048

Oh yeah, I forgot to add this was a track with a slight uphill tilt to it causing slightly higher times.

No I wasn't happy at all. It was a crappy day to race (found this out from the other guys who were there). It was 78 degrees out w/ high humidity (it just got done raining). I was aiming for at LEAST 14.5. I'm thinking of going again with a few people this coming Wednesday. I got Mike with his CLS (w/ AEM CAI) coming with. I'll probably have my friend with his S4 go and maybe my friend with his Viper. Any takers for this coming Wednesday @ about 8pm? That'll give us 3 hours to drag.

I'm on top of the game bro. Track is open for 'Fun Night' on Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday next week. I'm just waiting to check the 'new' weather forecast tomorrow night to see if its going to be worth it.
