Check engine light flashed, any idea why?

It's raining really hard today. I was turning at a light, I hit first, then 2nd, & the the tires lost tracking, began to hop the car. The RPM's went to about 6500RPM, then I shifted into 3rd, & got traction again. All the while the little engine light was flashing yellow. It continued to flash for about 30 seconds, after I got traction back, then went out. Car drives, & runs fine. Is this an indictor of the LSD working on the 6 speed? BTW, don't get the Toyo FZ4's THEY SUCK IN THE RAIN. I'm skiding all over the place. At least in 18's they SUCK!

Are you sure it wasn't the "!" Icon? That would just mean your traction control is working.

I hope so. Drives fine. After all my engine problems, I'm a little freaked out. I guess whatever code it trigger'd is in the computer? Would pulling the battery erase it?

If the check engine light is still on then the code is still there to review. If so take it to any local autoparts store and have them throw an OBD-II scaner on it to tell u what code was thrown?

And yes disconecting the battery will reset the code, so could ur autoparts store with an OBD-II.

It is fine, it is just minor and random misfires brought on by the wheel hop. Since it went away there is nothing to worry about and is normal.
