Check Engine Light & Both VSA Lights Stuck On
Check Engine Light & Both VSA Lights Stuck On
When I got in the car this evening to go home, my check engine light, and both of my VSA lights were stuck on. The car was also idling funny, fluctuating between 700RPMs and 1100RPMs. It sounds like the car was going to just flat out give up at times.
I dropped it off at David McDavid Acura and they gave me excellent service. Unfortunately they can't look at it until tomorrow, but they did at least give me a blue RSX loaner.
I don't know if anyone else has had this sort of problem, at least I've never heard of anything like this until now. But if someone has, can they post what happened?
I'm soo close to trading in, but I just don't know what I want.
:'(
I'm really trying to hold out for a 2004 TL (if it gets a facelift)
I have 24K miles on the car, and the tranny was replaced @ 12K. This is nothing like my first dead tranny experience, and doesn't seem to be a tranny issue as I was able to drive the car just fine over to the dealer which is less than a mile away from my job.

This is similiar to what happened to me on Friday. I was driving in D4 & the car locked up in 2nd gear. Both VSA lights came on as well as the check engine light. After turning the car of & restarting in neutral it started driving again with everything apparently back to normal but the check engine light has yet to go off. It's interesting because the owners manual implies if the check engine light is on it's an emmissions control problem. I even did the entire gas cap routine.
My transmission has been getting progressively worse over the last few weeks(slipping & 2nd/3rd gear hangs increasingly common)& I'm taking it in for an service appointment 10am Thurs. at John Eagle Acura.
I don't think I'll be getting the "couldn't duplicate problem" runaround this time.
