check engine light
check engine light
i was driving down a striaght road doing 50mph when all of the sudden the TCS and Check Engine lights came on...there was no jerk or any feeling and it drove like normall. my first thought was tranny, but idk. My maintence required light was flashing before and it was because it was time for service (oil change etc..) i didn't bring it to the dealer, i brought it somewhere else and when i got it back the maintence required light is still flashing. I just figured this was because they didn't know how and/or that they were supposed to shut this off. Or maybe thats not what it was. Has any one heard of this happening. In my search i found somone that had this happen with VSA and CE and everyone told him bad tranny. now im afraid il bring it to the dealer and they will see my intake and tell me my warranty is void. any thoughts on this??
Same problem as what I had, brother: http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...3&page=1&pp=25
well heres what happened... i brought it to a repair shop other then the dealer and they gave me the code from the engine...740. the one i didn't want to see. so im a dead tranny rolling right now. on the way home from the place the gears slipped from2-3 gear and this is when it finally sunk in. now my dealer is telling me they cant even take my car for a week at which point they will not give me a loaner and they will have it for about 3 weeks. this blows, i paid 800 bills for an extened warranty and to be part of their "V.I.P." program and this is the kind of treatment i recieve. Im seriously considering selling the car now.
