Check Engine Light??
Check Engine Light??
I'm driving home last night and my check engine light comes on. I know it's not low on oil or anything like that b/c it just got changed. I looked at it anyhow before driving any further and had a friend rev the engine while I listened for any odd sounds and nothing
so I continue driving. Anyone know what this is? I did a quick search and saw something relative to a 3.0 CL and the oxygen sensor having carbon build-up on it and needing to have ECU reset. Is this the case here? Thanks

If the Acura OBD "On Board Diagnostic" system is anything like the Cougar's, I would:
A) Go to a local AutoZone (if there is one) and have them pull the code that was thrown. They do it for free, and it sure beats paying 76.00 (what Ford charges) to simply know what code(s) was thrown. From there they can clear it, and you should know what to do from there.
OR
B) Disconnect the battery for 20 minutes to reset the ECU.
The code should go away, and if there is a real problem it will come back on within 300 miles.

does your radio presets reset?
When you disconnect the Battery for that long it will reset erase all of my presets and everything on my aftermarket radio. If it doesn't that's cool, but if it does then oh well....just wondering if it did for you....
