Changing manual tranny fluid?

I recently bought my 2003 CL Type S 6MT with about 82k miles on it. I think I should be changing the tranny fluid to eliminate some of the notchiness in the shifts. What is your guys opinion? Also what fluid should I use when I change it? The stock stuff is 7 bucks a quart at the Acura dealership, but is there something better?

I got the new fluid and it helped. If you dont think it has been changed recently of you dont know change it anyway. Make sure the fluid is the reforlulated version. check out this thread.

The GM stuff works better than the old Honda stuff but the new Honda oil works as well as the GM, some folks say better.

Stick with Honda.

The previous owner of my car changed it with the new Honda fluid just a couple weeks before selling it to me. Shifts great.

How do you know that you got the new formula? I asked a mechanic at the dealer about it and he didn't know the formula changed.

My dealer didn't know either, but when we looked at what was on the shelf it was the new stuff. New stuff is pink, old is gold. Also the part number changed.
