I am comming up on my 45k service... It says... Oil/Filter Change, Brake Fluid Change, and Tranny Fluid Change...

How often do I really need to change the brake/tranny fluid?

tranny fluid i like to do its once a year so about every 15,000 miles because there is no filter to change on the trans so it needs to be done more often, and the brake fluid about every 45,000 miles because it will get burned up, absorb water and you want that flushed to keep the brake system running good.

30,000 miles on tranny fluid is recommended by most although the manual says something like 60,000 for normal driving. I do check my tranny fluid monthly to make sure it hasn't darkened. I agree with the manual recommendation of 3 years or 45,000 on the brake fluid.
