CD's started jamming!!!

I've read about this but never had a problem....UNTIL NOW!! My home burned CD's now won't eject from the Bose. Had to struggle to get them out and scratched them in the process. Is this like an "old age" thing since my CL-S is an 01?? Damn.

I have the same problem with my 03. Seems to be limited to CD-R's with a more corse/rougher label. I have an old credit card that i use to help those guys out.

Mine got stuck once. Jammed the whole thing up. They had to replace the whole radio. Waited 3 months to get my CD's back.

Is it the extra width from the CD-R labels that is causing the jams?

What happens if you don't label?? I just use a fine tipped marker and mark on them.

I never had a problem with CDR’s in the car, but I never put labels on them.
I just write the title on with a felt tip permanent marker.

If you do what shawn does, you have no problems. The problem is a combination of extra thickness and roughness of the label. I started not putting labels on my cd's for the car.

Take the car to the dealer. Tell them your cd player jams and they will give you a new radio.

I have the same problem with mine. The reason is cause i put labels on all my copied cds. Whenever I try to eject one of them and it's not coming out I just use this plastic business card I have to push down on the cd while it's trying to eject and then it pops out.

I have the same problem - every once and a while I have to do exactly what MRocks described. However, I don't use usually use CD-Rs, when it happens it's with factory stamped cds...

stuck cdr's

Don't put labels on cdr's. Just mark them with a permanent marker. THis should fix your problem.

The label causes the problem. Since our changers are "slot in" style not using the magazine, the thickness of the disc it the key.

I've had my cds jam in my deck twice now. And I never use labels- only Sharpie markers.

Be real careful with the markers used on the CD-R's. In the long run they will mess up the discs, even though only written on the label side. i write only on the clear center portion with a thin Sharpie. Besides, those stick on labels are too heavy and are never perfectly centered, messes up players and discs alike.

Save the labeling for the Jewel cases. check out www.ziplabel.com and get their cdrlabel program. Best I've found.

Maxell Disc Writer Permanent Marker For Recordable Discs. It's "water based" and doe not damage the disk like others will over time.

Our CD changer sucks, and is not durable.... Mine still works, but makes loud and abnormal noises while loading/ejecting CDs.... I feel it will brake very soon, I hope it will happen before warranty expires.

I've had a bunch of Verbatim CD-Rs get stuck ejecting from my deck. It's definitely a width problem. I never, ever put labels on them, but some brands of CD-Rs still stick. Never have I had an original CD stick. Just use a card or something to push up or down on the CD to get the wheels to grab again and force it out.
