Car wouldn't start last night?!?!
Guys, I am not sure what happend, but last night I went to the track to see some friends run, and yes I did a couple myself and I am not impressed.
15.3 at 92 mph with 2.45x 60fts, the best I could muster bone stock. 90 degrees, 100% humidty, sea level track.
Anyways, I went back to my car, and I had my parking lights on, and ignition, but thats it. It was like this for about 10 minutes. I went to start the car, and it just cranked over and cranked and cranked. I kept trying for 5 minutes. I decided to turn everything off for a bit, then try again, and it cranked and finally turned over. The battery was not dead, so I am not sure what went wrong. Any ideas?!

Same thing happened to me once (in two years). There's plenty of possible reasons and I'm no mechanic but I wonder if its the Immobilizer System? Our keys are encoded and if the IS doesn't read the key correctly it shuts off the fuel supply. There's an IS indicator (the tiny 'key' symbol) which is supposed to blink in this case but I didn't know where to look at the time.

There was a recall on the fuel pressure regulator........the symptoms were trouble starting after the car was warm......it happened to me twice, then I called the dealer, got it fixed, no more problems!!!!!!!

in between cranks, how long do you wait?
And on the first crank, do you turn I-II-III without pausing for a bit at II?
On some days, pausing at II until my car stops beeping helps get the first crank all the time.

I've had that problem in my car, in fact theres a recall on the starter switch (which reminds me I need to get that replaced). As far as I kno though the recall was only for 99TL's. Take it to the dealer and see whats up.
yeah, I've been having starting problems lately. At first I thought maybe it was a loose connection or something because the first time I noticed it was after I had bottomed out on a huge dip in the road.
Then it happened again when I was driving normally. I go to start the car...barely cranks over like the battery died, but the clock inside my car still works. I then pop the hood and shake the battery around a lil bit and that is all i do and it turns over just fine. The clock never resets itself but the radio does and I have to reprogram my stations, etc.
Has that ever happened to anyone? happened twice already

Re: all things considered....
Good time yeah.
Btw to the post above, if you move the battery and your car starts, you might want to clean the term connections on top of the battery so they make good connection. Sounds to me like they aren't.
