Car Shuddering???
I got a question for all you gearheads. My 01 Type S (56K miles) shudders when iddling in PARK, but not when stopped at a redlight or at a stop sign in DRIVE. The shuddering isn't that bad, but I'm picky about my car. I guess it could be a number of things but any ideas off the top of ya'lls heads would be really appreciated. My thoughts are that it may have something do with 1. Transmission recall service done not too long ago OR 2. my car needs a fuel injection cleaning. New belts maybe?

It is a pretty constant and soft shuddering, and no the lights don't dim. When I first start the car it doesn't ussually do it, but if I've been driving around for a few minutes and then put it in park in traffic or something then the shuddering begins. No one really notices it but me either but its quite annoying on a vehicle thats suppose to be a near luxury car.

Mine does the same thing, except it will do it in park, and it will also do it right before i come to a complete stop (its not a warped brake rotor shudder, its like an engine dipping to low in the revs type shudder). I have no clue what it is.

Then it's probably not the transmission; could be engine mounts, blown head gasket, air sensor, etc.
Best have a dealer do a code check and general diagnostic.

it does not do when you first start the car because the car is running a cold start cycle...
do you have any Accesories running (A/C, heat, radio=system)
You mentioned something with your tranny... did you get the tranny replaced?.. if they replaced your tranny, they more than likely replaced your ECU as well.
where are your RPM's sitting at idle.. (20 minutes) after you start the car?

you need to go to the dealership and find out the problem and report back.

it might be classified as a wear and tear item... ![Dunno](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif)
but my guess would be as long as you have factory warranty you should be able to get any problems rectified.
