Which car alarms do you guys recommend?
I'm looking for a car alarm. Your suggestions are appreciated. I have an AT 01 CL-S. I've looked at some of the newer alarms that you can control from your phone. They seem to interest me the most.

all aftermarket alarms are a gimmick, ive had a $900 viper with remote monitoring, oe is the best for its purpose, unless you want remote start, then get that, although that just wastes gas

It makes just as much noise as an alarm but hurts a hell of a lot more.

LOL!
The stock system needs only a shock sensor or 2 added. You can add these yourself. They tie into the hood pin switch. Pretty easy. There's a DIY thread on them somewhere. The pics were dead last I found it. But the instructions are there. May be on the TL side.
Basically you get a DEI dual stage sensor. Splice the 2 sensor wires together making it a single sensor. Then tap into a wire to the pin switch at the back of the drivers side fuse box & then tap a unused +12v from a blank spot on the back of the fuse box, last wires goes to ground. Then mount the sensor, I tied it right under the steering wheel bulkhead. Set the sensitivity by banging on the windows from outside while it's armed.
On my car I added a 2nd shock sensor on the passenger side. That's even easier as you can wire the 2 sensors together & then connect both at the same time.

When you say the steering wheel bulkhead, do you mean inside the car or in the engine bay?
