damn! damn, damn! damn, damn, damn!!!

I was saying something similar the first time I went to do it too. Except "damn" would have been a nicer term than what I used. I decided, screw it, I'll take it to the Dealership from now on. Besides, they do a bunch of other fluid checks/top-offs and check and set your tire pressure too while they're at it. To me, that's worth it. Just so long as they don't screw something up in the process!

I got those same ramps, when I did my header install. Not lowered yet, but I was able to drive up them no problem.
Are these the ones you had:

place 2x4s in front of the ramps and drive up those first

That doesn't work for me. The front is still too low. I tried it. It might work if I had some 2 or 3 ft long 2x6's. You know, someting longer and stronger. What's the point of going through all of that trouble? I'll keep going to the dealer.

yeah.. those are the exact ramps i have... i never thought of the 2x4 solution... do u mean to lay them in front of the ramp horizonally or right up the ramp on top of it...

i ended up going to one of those quick lube places... they seemed alright... i guesss...
but i told those assholes... it only needs 4.6 qts... not 5!... they ended up putting in 5 any way.... damn assholes...

is it reaaallly bad to have those extra .4 qts in my car??!?

I use a floor jack (about $30.00 at Sears). Jack up the right side, throw in a jack stand. Reach in by the right front tire and unscrew the oil filter. The drain plug is easily accessible at this point. Probably takes all of 25 minutes start to finish. Just not that difficult.

When I had clear bra recently installed, the installers had these very nice and long heavy duty ramps. They said they ordered them online and have never had a car that was too low to get up on them. They said they even got a carrera gt on it without any problems. I forgot the company they said they ordered them from, but search around the web. Problem is, they were like $150 bucks each. I dont know how hardcore with car maintenance you need to be to buy $300 ramps though.
