Can't a guy get an oil change??
Damn, called both Nalley Acura and Acura Carland to try and get a oil change and tire rotation as I should have done it about 1500 miles ago and they are all booked up for Saturday!!!!
Just thought I would share my frustration.
Interesting note, Nalley Acura told me they do not install any aftermarket parts (comptech) but Acura Carland does.

Go to Ed Voyles, I was there last week for an oil change, no problem, and the free carwash is always money, along with the test drive of the 6sp CL while waiting.

Calling on Friday for a Saturday appointment.
Jiffy Lube maybe, but a dealer.....NO.
I always need to schedule a LEAST a few days ahead.
And sometimes as long as TWO WEEKS if I want a free loaner.

Where is my super sauce?
I got the same song and dance from my local dealer - two weeks to get an appointment just for an oil change. WTF? They only have 6 auto bays.
Dealers in LA had at least 12 and many had 24+ bays. The Toyota dealers must have had about 50 bays in many of the dealerships. The Philadelphia area is the 5th largest metro area in the country. Why can't they provide service like it?
I decided that I'll do the oil changes and tire rotations myself (or the local mechanic) and reserve the dealer for 15/30/45K... checks and warranty stuff. Hopefully I don't have to see them too often.
I agree with the appointment and scheduling if you want a loaner car, but for a two week wait for a 30 minute oil change that you'll wait for, come on.

It's only because they are trying to do it on saturday when everybody and their mother schedules appointments. I've never had problems coming in to the dealer during lunch.

I did that last week with no problems at all. Their service department opens at 7:30.

I think it's because
1) they don't have enough bays to support a quick turnover (as I said above)
2) when it comes right down to it, 'customer service' is not their middle name.
Of course every dealership is different and YMMV. It sounds like there are a couple NJ places that blow the Philly places away . I had better (at least quicker) service in LA at two different Acura dealerships and I didn't think it was half as good as my family got with their Toyotas.
It's weird - the Sunoco station about a half mile away from me has 5 bays, and my Acura dealer has only six.

I doubt they would give you a loaner for oil change, but maybe your dealership is different.
Also, you dont need an Acura dealer for an oil/rotation service, most any place would do, just buy the Acura filter.
