can we raise the max RPM??

after being at the track last night, it seems that a higher redline would be beneficial in pulling some extra juice out of our cars, now im not talking about putting the redline at like 8,500 but at least like 7,500-7,600...and only when at the track...will that Apexi vtech controller thing allow this?? the car really likes the high RPM power but that 7,100 redline seems to be cutting it short....we need a computer chip for our car or something....

The reason engines have a certain max rev is to prevent failure.

Over-revving leads to valve issues, piston issues or seal issues. Perhaps if you replace those parts with stronger ones, you could rev to 8grand. If not, I wouldn't do it unless you want to risk catestrophic engine failure.

haha, very true, i wouldnt want to push it...but an extra 200-500 rpm used ONLY once in awhile at a track couldnt hurt the car i would imagine...

no i do not think so..cls' max output is before the red line zones..if u push all the way beyond the red line zone..u will not gain its max hp and torque output but u will hear your engine roaring...
unless u are going to do a heavy mod on engine. i mean real engine work...
