can replacing one mount only, creat engine vibration?

So I got my tranny replaced like 2 weeks ago and a few days after I got it back I noticed the car would vibrate on and off every second when the motor is WARM and only in park or neutral.

I got my front trans mount replaced cause it was cracked in the tranny rebuild process.

So i'm thinking, maybe the brand new mount is too stiff for the other ones in turn causing a vibration.

Engine rpms are right where they should b and don't move a millimeter.

This problem is just so annoying with a car of this caliber. Can anyone point me in the right direction!!!?

engine runs like a CHAMP, so it's not motor related

Don't seem to me like that would be a problem.
If it's not a engine problem maybe it's a trans problem?

I just had my tranny re-built and i am also getting a shudder but not when in part ONLY when im going 60MPH and have my foot on the gas keeping the speed at 60MPH.. no vibration anytime other then that. I am thinking they did not tighten something enough. I thought it might have been the tranny at first but the tranny prforms GREAT otherwise!

I think it's a lil weird that both you guys who had them rebuilt instead of replaced by acura are having problems.

Any trans rebuild takes some miles to break in right. May just need that.
Could be bad ujoints in the front axles too.

It cannot B the tranny guys... it shift fine. and neve shudders at all in gear. Actually in gear is only when the car is acting 100%.

I said when it is in PARK or Neutral it makes a SLIGHT vibration.

It's no rocking the change or vibrating the mirror or anything like that.

On my car the car never shakes or shudders in park or in drive at any sppeds except for 60mph with my foot on gas just keeping that steady speed ... When acelerating nuttin when decelerating nuttin!!

I FOund this for the 3G TL's but it seems to be the EXACT problem!!!

The part # they listed I cant find... I think when they might have been screwing together everything after installing my rebuilt tranny they might have no tigtened something or forgot to put a screw or damper back!

I started happing right after my tranny was rebuilt but am 95% sure its not the tranny!

I would be willing to bet it's your motor mounts. Maybe when the tranny mount was replaced it kinda shifted where the motor goes into the side mount. Since the side isn't for actual support and mainly for vibration dampening this could have happened. The front and rear mounts are for holding the enigine in place during launch. With our cars the front and side motor mounts tend to go bad quick so i would definitely think this could be the case.

Front mount wouldn't do it . . . I've had lots of experience testing mounts and the only one that has caused problems is the rear. It's possible that something was messed up on the install . . without experiencing your problem first hand, I really don't have a good idea of what it might be.
