I'm talking to detroit dash about gettin the dash kit in my car. I just wanna see some pics of some peeps w/ the aluminum dash kit. The one from detroit dash doesnt have any trim for the passenger ac vents and i want those pieces. They want to charge me $350 for the whole kit, like 21 pieces. I would order the one from acp.com but then i would have to install it.

AP Signworks, the sill maker, is making aluminum dash kits as well. I have one currently installed in my car (it's missing the two passenger vents and two top vents, as well as one of the center console pieces) but I have another kit sitting on my floor with all the pieces included...I believe it's a 23 piece kit, and covers the whole dash, either side of the steering wheel dash, from the dash to the cup holder, the 4 door control panels, and a few others. Best of all it matches the door sills.

Remember that picture is missing some pieces. The whole kit is $230 shipped, and is easy to install. Autocarparts.com no longer sells (actually never did sell) the trim or door sills...because they backed out and dumped all of their preorders on Jeff (the manufacturer) and I in a rather scandalous way...

Hopefully there's a lot of interest...or else we won't be selling it. . Jeff got screwed with the door sills and 200 people on here saying they wanted them and roughly half actually buying. We're not doing that again.

Do you have an estimation of when my sills and trim kit will be done and shipped? You said that you have a completed set on your floor?? Hook it up!

 

Are you guys purchasing your kits on aftermarket places other than the dealer? The last time i went to my dealer for oil change and stuff like that I say that some of their cars in the show room had like full aluminum/black wood/brown wood trim.. I assume they have it as an option now but didn't ask how much.

23wt...there's an aluminum looking kit (that isn't real aluminum) that comes on the 03 CLS...but for any other car you'll have to get the aluminum trim kits Austin519's making...he's the only one making kits with real aluminum so I've heard...

 

Uh, I bought this kit from exotic wood dash .com or something, its been so long so I kinda forgot the exact address. Just call in the order if they don't have it listed on the site.

 

the ones at the dealer is exactly the same as the one rondog posted.....
