C5 6speed coupe Vs. 3.5L....

well got another run and no i didnt win, but i garuntee the vette didnt like me that close for that long...
we played alittle back and fourth, through traffic just moderatly getting in front of traffic ..at one point he rev'd at me...him and a passenger...(assumed to be his wife) this guy was 50 or so....oppps caught a light...i rev'd to make sure he knew i wanted some....GREEN...bamn he's a car out but he shifts and it's a half a car...pulls out to a full car again and shifts half a car ,..pulls out to alittle more than a car and we shut it down...obviously at that point he was gonna really start to make distance on me, though third gear is ok...it's not my cars strong point.....not when going up against the big boys...this was yesterday...tonight, got another LT-1.(95 formula)..no biggie it's obvious that those cars in stock form dont stand a chance...285hp and 325 lb.ft.,,...it was a young kid in this car he was complimentary asked what it was ...asked turbo? ...he was cool...shawn if youre reading, even in third you dont get any back just keep givin'

oh and BTW say what you want i expect some flack because there's no way any cl can hang with any of these cars...you cant go 2.0*** 60 foot on street tires and i must be on crack...enjoy

Where'd you get those C5 power numbers? They are wrong.

1997
Horsepower: 340 hp
Torque: 350 ft-lbs

1998-2000
Horsepower: 345 hp
Torque: 350 ft-lbs

2001-2003
Horsepower: 350 hp
Torque: 360 ft-lbs

These figures are for the LS1.

Those 'vettes are VERY quick... I wouldn't mess with them unless I had NOS, S/C or a Turbo....

boy, your car must be fast, because those vettes run sub 5 sec. 0-60 and low 13's in the 1/4.

I don't think you will hit an 8.7xx - Not to flame... but you need slicks and a LOT of horsepower. What are your dyno #'s... not estimated... actual. Also, you need to run in the 1/4-mile sometime!
