A/C Noise
A/C Noise
My girlfirend and I own a 2001 CL-Type S which has recently developed a mysterious noise. Any time the vehicle is turning right or comming to a stop with the A/C on (crucial in AZ) a clicking sound follows. If the A/C is turned off, the noise stops. The intensity of the clicking varies depending on the speed of the fan. I assume that the fan is coming into contact with something internally. Has anyone out there experienced this problem?

Sounds like the momentum of the turn is causing something to touch the fan. Also, I would have to wonder if soemthing in the steering/suspension, since it only happens on Rt turns.
i have this same problem. it happen all of a sudden when i was driving last week. so i called my friend who is an acura tech and he explained that there are two causes for this.
1. something is stuck in the AC fan blade
2. the fan is going bad.
i'm going to take it to the dealer on thursday and have them check it out. you should do the same.
also, if it's #2, there is a service bulletin out for this problem. the dealer knows about it occuring on 01-03 cl-s so i believe they will fix it for free.
