A/C the CLS seats??

I was just thinking this year, I see the seats in the CLS have the dots, could they also be modified to have A/C? Like the Navigators and some of the new Lexus, MB and so on. Has anyone ever seen or know of this being possible!!??

You could. Anything can happen with enough money.
I'd think it would be too much trouble & too expensive.

Yea I was just thinking about that possible option. That is the only thing that the CLS is lacking in the newer cars really. That would top it off perfectly if possible, just a thought out there to see others responses.

remember the CL's last year was in 03, so you really can't compare them with newer vehicles...Lexus didnt start making A/C'd seats an option until 05 I believe...

The $50k RL offers this option...but NOT in the US version. Major oversight by Acura. You can get it in Canada and Japan. Much needed here in TX.

it might be cheaper to do than you think. there is an a/c duct that runs under the front seats so the passengers can receive it from under. maybe you can put that to good use?

If your looking for a thrill that bad....buy a hooker, it would be cheaper then going thru the hassle of putting ac in the seats lol!! But honestly, it would be a nice feature but ill tell you what, my ac gets damn cold so me personally, wouldnt need it.

The '07 Toyota Avalon offers heated and cooled seats. My CL has an arctic A/C so I don't see it being needed that much but I have to admit it's nice to drive the Avalon and get out without a sweaty back after a long trip.

it does cool the feet from the center console, but not under the front seats. do you actually have a duct under your front seats???

and no, it's not for a "thrill"...it happens to be VERY hot in miami, and i have black interior. my back is always sweaty after driving during the day...

I'm almost positive that my CL has vents under the seat. Seem to remember them while vacuuming (could have been my previous car though).

yes, i've seen the vents myself

maybe they're blocked by something ?

also, my front carpet was blocking my front feet vents from blowing. maybe your rear carpet is ?

I see the vents that you guys are stating. They really are used for heat in the winter for the passangers in the rear, sice warm air rises, and most people put the vents for under their feet. Correct me if I am wrong. But they also can be used for the rear AC convience option also,or is there a actual outlet to hook up AC seats?

i found the vents, but now i'm wondering why they didnt use them for the seat ventilation. most other cars put the vents at the rear of the center console for rear passengers.

i'd love to do this mod...

Tons of cars have the rear vents under the front seats. And it's no wonder they didn't use them for seat ventelation, even in 2003 when the last of the CLs were made it wasn't an option on much other then very high end cars (still isn't an option on all that many cars).
