So when I start by car and after I put it in drive it makes this strange noise twice, once a few seconds after i put into drive and another time like 10 seconds later. Kind of like a bullfrog noise and i can feel the noise in the gas pedal. Any help would be appreciated. I have a 03 CLS auto.

 

It the ABS engaging... Its something engaging, but im pretty sure its the ABS.

 

i was a bit uneasy the first time i noticed it and took it to the dealer. its normal. neversummer is right, something like abs engaging.

 

That is the ABS system testing to make sure ABS is working on the vehicle. It is normal.

 

yup..happens b/w 0-5 mph and 6-12 mph or something, normal

 

I thought it might have to do with the ABS system. Its really freakin annoying cause it sounds like something is wrong with it. Dont you think they could have engineered that so it didnt make a noise. Ive never had a car that, "made sure" the ABS was working by sounding like a bullfrog lol
